The Preston family offer a warm welcome to guests visiting our small mixed working farm. Lisa does bed and breakfast. Marcus shears sheep, scans cattle and sheep, trims cows feet and dry stone walls off the farm, farming at home is on weekends and evenings. Holly and William help out. We built our house 15 years ago after waiting 14 years for planning permission.
Lambing starts at the beginning of April, the rest of the year there may be calves and piglets and always hens. We are the perfect place to get away and relax while enjoying a break or escaping from the city whilst on business. You can enjoy the wonderful location for exploring the local area and the breathtaking views.
Walkers will find scenery and challenge to suit everybody whether you prefer a gentle stroll at Bolton Abbey, a long walk over the limestone uplands of Malham, or you could simply park the car and set off straight from the Farm.
Secure cycle storage is available for those who want to bring their bicycles and explore some of the great local cycle routes. Le Tour de France passed close by Pickersgill Manor Farm in 2014 and Tour de Yorkshire route is also close by.
For evenings out there are a host of excellent pubs and restaurants in the surrounding towns and villages. Theatres, cinemas and shopping a little further afield.
